WELCOMEWelcome to the Bankruptcy Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. Please be on the lookout for upcoming events here. We also hope to post news about our diversity and inclusion committee soon. A Message from the ChairWelcome to the Bankruptcy Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. Our Section provides valuable resources and networking opportunities for consumer and business bankruptcy professionals with the goal of strengthening the profession and enriching the lives of our members. Your Section dues help facilitate a wide range of programming and networking events, and help fund several bankruptcy-focused non-profit projects across Texas. We have many opportunities for you to volunteer your time and talent, including (i) mentoring, (ii) providing valuable education to high school and law school students through Moneywise, the Elliott Cup, or our Pro Bono Projects, which provides critical pro bono services to those in need, and (iii) aiding law students through our Bankruptcy Law Section Scholarship. The Section also offers consumer and business-focused CLEs, many of which are free and accessible to members online. We welcome financial professionals to join the Section by contacting our Non-Lawyer Member Advisor. Lastly, I would appreciate hearing from you about how we can make the Section more valuable to you as a member. We are only as strong as our collective inputs, so please share yours. I welcome you to contact me directly with your ideas for improving the Section or becoming more involved. You can reach me at acarson@grayreed.com. | Our chairAmber CarsonUpcoming events
